  CapitalVision®, an easy-to-use, Web-based software service, will greatly improve your organization's ability to manage the financial aspects of your capital improvement program.  CapitalVision® is designed to assist the owner by managing the relationships between projects and contracts with the actual sources of funds - eliminating the need for offline spreadsheets that are frequently used to manage key items such as funding draws, capitalized interest from bond funds, and tracking of soft costs.

 

  

  • Tracks programs and the projects associated with each program along with associated budgets, estimates, priorities, milestone dates, and funding levels.
  • Tracks and manages funding sources for projects or capital expenditures and allows for accurate tracking of capital expenditures by source of funds regardless of the type (bonds, grants, user fees, etc.). CapitalVision also manages the funding draws and allows for enforcement of funding eligibility and thresholds.
  • Tracks projects and all relevant financial aspects of each project including budgets, estimates, contracts, funding sources, milestone dates, expenditures, and other project expenses.
  • Tracks contracts including key milestone dates, change orders, tasks and related sub-tasks, retainage, subcontractors, invoicing, and specific comments.
  • Tracks assets that may be capitalized as the result of a project including dates placed into service, useful life, capitalized values, and allows direct tracking back to the projects and invoices that were used to fund the asset.
  • Alerts you to events or incidents requiring management attention. CapitalVision's Alert feature provides on-screen and/or email-based alerts that can be used to allow you to proactively manage your capital program. Examples include event-based alerts such as a notice to proceed date or financial alerts such as change orders that exceed a certain percentage of a contract value.
  • Integrates with existing systems through the use of published Web services or through SDG's data loading utilities that are available to load information from other legacy systems.
  • Provides for document management by allowing for the storage or linking to pertinent documents including contracts, project photos, reference materials, or any other type of electronic document.

CapitalVision® is a hosted solution and is available as a service. This provides a lower cost of ownership for our customers. The only requirement for use is a connection to the Internet and a standard Web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc.). Subscriptions are available on an annual basis and are based on named users.
